e-bike-days Dresden - Experience electric mobility
Trade fairs are key instruments for initiating business, presenting innovations and negotiating cooperation. Social contacts cannot be digitized. Personal discussions - especially in the two-wheeler industry - are irreplaceable and crucial for success.
Electric bikes are still the largest growth segment in the bicycle industry and continue to gain ground. The eleventh e-bike-days in Dresden from January 26 to 28, 2024 will provide a platform for the continuing trend, where the industry will present itself in a concentrated form and showcase numerous facets of e-mobility in the two-wheeler sector. Current innovations and the new models of the season will be presented.
Visitors can expect expert advice on the topic "E-bike trend - how do I find my model" as well as answers to the following questions: What is the difference between an e-bike and a pedelec / Who are e-bikes suitable for / How much do e-bikes cost / How are batteries charged? / What is the range? / Do e-bike riders need a driver's license? etc.
Dresden is a model city for electromobility
Since the beginning of November 2016, the Saxon state capital has been a model city for sustainable and integrated urban mobility. The aim is to develop Dresden into a pioneer for electromobility, digitalization and innovative fleet management ("car sharing"). This should make traffic in the state capital cleaner, quieter, more comfortable and safer. As part of the agreement, the state capital of Dresden and Volkswagen Saxony intend to carry out the following activities over the next six months, among others:
- In Dresden, forward-looking mobility locations will be gradually established at central transportation hubs, where public transport, car sharing, e-bikes, among others, will work hand in hand to ensure environmentally friendly and smooth mobility. By 2025, more than 30 such mobility hubs will be built on the city side.
- The "Center of Future Mobility" will be established on the site of the Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden. A new research and development unit will be established. The focus will be on electromobility, highly automated and connected driving, software services for mobility ("app development") and innovative fleet management.
- A business incubator is being set up in the Gläserne Manufaktur, where start-ups will develop mobility services of the future. The city will support this development.
